Civic Thinker offers free onlline resources to govtech startups and social entrepreneurs.

What sort of human are you, anyway?

Picture this. You’re standing in line at the DMV… again. Nobody looks terribly happy to be there. It’s a chore of adult life that hasn’t seen a tech upgrade in far too long. There are two sorts of people in this situation:

First, there are those resigned to waiting. (Hint: This is not you. You don’t believe in resigning your brain to staring up at industrial fiberglass ceiling tiles.)

No, you are the second sort. You are the sort of person whose mind goes to work on all the ways to reinvent, improve, or even eliminate the entire experience. You have a solution brewing as you sit in that absurdly uncomfortable plastic chair, and your brain is so busy that you almost entirely miss it when they call your number.

Sound about right? You are a Civic Thinker, and you came to the right place.

I started Civic Thinker because I wanted to give entrepreneurs all the tools they need to launch their idea. You never know where the next govtech innovation will come from.

Meet Matt, Civic Thinker to the Max

I’m Matt, and I’m powered by positive outcomes. Once upon a time, I was a police officer. On the job, I began to notice patterns, problems, and inefficiencies. Not being the sort to sit back and throw my hands up in the air, my brain went into problem-solving gear. That was the moment I decided  I was going to bootstrap a SaaS company that would solve problems for first responders.

Since that transition, I’ve founded and grown two B2B SaaS companies (read: I’ve made plenty of mistakes, had a lot of fun making them). My credentials don’t necessarily reflect what I would consider to be my biggest success: I have been fortunate enough to see my ideas positively impact human lives every day.

While I had the tools to convert concepts into reality, I know plenty of Civic Thinkers out there do not. That’s why I’m here, doing my part to help make connections, vet out ideas, and clear the path for YOUR ideas to take wing.

Embrace your ideas, Civic Thinker. The world needs them more than you know.
